Director’s Message

On 19th September, we launched our programme for 2018. On 25th October, we opened the festival with the European premiere of DARK FIGURE OF CRIME at Vue Leicester Square. Over 11 days, we screened 60 features and shorts from 13 different countries, with 20 filmmakers attending. On 4th November, we closed the festival with Eric Khoo's RAMEN SHOP.

The festival was all possible due to the support of our sponsors and partners. We would like to thank all of the audience who attended our screenings in and out of London! With 16 sold out screenings, we saw a huge increase in audience numbers.

We hope you enjoyed our programme of films and events this year. LEAFF will be back with more in 2019!

Thank you!

Hyejung Jeon

Festival Director, London East Asia Film Festival
