HOW TO VOLUNTEER FOR LEAFF 2019
Volunteers help create a global platform for East Asian cinema. Volunteers are needed to assist in all areas of LEAFF- from theatre entrances, film schools to Asian community areas. Of course, there are exciting benefits such as being among the first audiences to see world premieres of the best new East Asian films.
The application to volunteer for LEAFF 2019 is now open. Please send your CV, availabilities in September and October and short cover letter, including your relevant experiences and enthusiasm for East Asian cinema and film festivals, to firstname.lastname@example.org . Preference will be given to those studying film and/or marketing.
Volunteers must be available for at least 3 shifts per week (1 shift is 4-6 hours per day) for your application to be considered. You should be available on the dates of the promotional activities during the pre-publicity period (from mid-September to mid-October) and during the events (24 October - 3 November), and extra commitment may be involved in the form of briefing and/or training sessions prior to the event.
Volunteers are essential to the festival. We appreciate the time they devote to the festival and provide benefits that are in conjunction with the number of shifts volunteered. Volunteers will be able to receive invitations for screenings and talks, but attending screening can be restricted within your working time. We offer meals and refreshments. Volunteers will also be able to learn and get hands-on experience working with LEAFF’s professional staff in film programming, event management, PR/press, marketing, and more!
E-mail email@example.com to be considered. The closing date for applications is 25th August 2019. Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis.
